STUDENT REQUIREMENTS

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY

As a matter of NBBIC policy and procedure, students are responsible for the management of their academic careers. They are expected to familiarize themselves with the undergraduate catalog and to keep informed of all published degree requirements and deadline dates. Failure to do so does not provide a basis for exceptions to academic requirements or policies. It is expected students will receive assistance from academic and faculty advisors, but students must assume responsibility for completing published degree requirements. Students are responsible for their own course registration.

BACHELOR DEGREE STUDENTS

Choose 26 courses and students must also pass all additional 14 track courses as well, all courses must be taken at Level 3.

ASSOCIATE DEGREE STUDENTS

Choose 13 courses and students must also pass the additional.

5-COURSES MINISTRY CERTIFICATION PROGRAMS

These students coordinate and direct many areas of ministry work. This curriculum has a strong bible base and has clear understanding of the church pulpit leadership. Armed in this way they are able to administrate in regard to sacred services (funerals, weddings, ordinations etc.), operational procedures, planning structures, working relationship with other church leaders. Examples: Educational Director, Ministry Coordinators, Finical Coordinators, Congregational Legal Coordinators, Trusties. Note: Ministerial Practicum optional with every course.

Choose 13 courses from below and all courses must be taken at Level 2

STUDENT REGULATIONS

ENROLLMENT

REGISTRATION

Every student is expected to register for all courses and pay required fees in a timely manner. First time student may not register for course above the grade Bible Study Program (Level II). (The exception to this is recognized ministers.)

INVOICES

  • Invoices will be issued by NBBIC for all students.
  • There can be NO refunds or returned fees after the second week a course has begun.

WITHDRAWAL PROCEDURES

  • Any student wishing to withdraw from a course must do so by informing the NBBIC instructor in writing. E-mail is also acceptable.
  • Courses withdrawn from after the 5th week of class will receive a letter grade of:
    • WP if they have completed and passed mid-term
    • WF if midterm was not taken or failed.
    • WP allows a student to retake class immediately.
    • WF requires the student to take one other course before retaking course.
  • Students failing 3 courses or more will be placed on academic probation and required to speak to an advisor before enrolling for any additional courses.
  • Students wishing to change their study level must do so before the 5th week of class and are still responsible for all fees.

TRANSFERS - SUNSET BIBLE

  • Institute online course may be transferred for a fee of $10.00 per course for all levels.
  • NBBIC requires 3 courses to be taken as an NBBIC student for degree program.

CURRICULUM

  • A Certification Of Completion will be given to all students that complete a minimum of 5 courses.
  • AA degree of Biblical Studies will be given upon completion of 20 courses at Level III.
  • A Bachelor of Biblical & Ministerial Studies degree will be issued upon the completion of 40 courses at Level III.

DISCIPLINE

  • As in any online educational institution, order must be maintained to keep from disrupting the education process. Students who display inappropriate conduct are subject to disciplinary actions of probation, suspension or dismissal in some cases.
